MUSIC TIME
Music Time sessions offer musical and creative experiences to different groups in the community. The sessions are designed in an inclusive way and cater for people of different ages and abilities including early years, children, families, and people with special needs. The content of the sessions is tailored to suit the specific groups and no prior musical knowledge is required to take part.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The sessions include a variety of activities supporting musical, creative, and social interaction, using instruments, voice, movement and props. All the instruments used in the sessions are selected to be accessible to play and allow for exploration of different sounds and tactile experiences. Instruments typically used are handheld percussion instruments such as handbells, tambourines, cabasas, rainsticks, shakers, windchimes, and also different types of drums. The sessions offer a relaxed yet stimulating space and provide an engaging way for being part of a shared musical experience.
